The Carli Suspension 4.5" Progressive Add-A-Pack Leaf Spring (Left Side) AS-FPAP-17-45-DRIVER is engineered to enhance the rear ride quality while preserving the OEM load capacity of your Ford Super Duty. By replacing the lower overload leaf with thinner, progressive leaf springs, this add-a-pack minimizes the harsh rebound typically experienced with factory overload springs. When paired with a Carli Suspension System, it helps absorb medium to large bumps with greater control, offering a smoother and more comfortable ride.
This progressive add-a-pack replaces the thick, rigid overload leaf that doesn't match the contour of the rest of the factory leaf pack. By removing this "spring wall" and adding a mini progressive leaf pack, the truck's rear spring rate becomes more predictable and smooth, which improves both ride quality and traction. Although the rear may sit slightly lower under heavy load, the truck will ride better when loaded, thanks to improved suspension dynamics.
