178/208 CAMSHAFT PACKAGE:
Designed
for optimal efficiency and throttle response, this package is perfect
for those seeking improved low-RPM performance and quicker spool up.
It’s ideal for daily drivers looking for maximum efficiency and is great
at high altitudes.
- RPM Range: Idle-4000
- Reduces EGTs by 200-300 degrees
- Increased low-end power and torque
188/220 CAMSHAFT PACKAGE:
For
trucks pushing performance boundaries, the 188/220 Camshaft Package
offers enhanced power across the RPM range, making it ideal for
stock-class pulling, drag racing, or high-performance builds.
- RPM Range 1700-4500
- Reduces EGTs by 200-300 degrees
- Increased mid-range power
INSTALL NOTE:
- Both cam options are considered “drop-in,” requiring no more than 0.018” piston protrusion and at least 0.038” valve face depth with a standard head gasket. If these clearances aren't met, oversized head gaskets or valve reliefs may be required.
- Apply a liberal amount of high-quality assembly lube to cam lobes and journals.
- Prime the oil pump and oil filter before starting.
- Verify oil pressure before engine start-up.
- Run the engine at 1200-1500 RPM for 5 minutes, then shut it down.
- Adjust valve lash after each torque sequence to account for gasket compression.
