The Merchant Automotive 19210615 Engine Oil cooler is a direct-fit replacement for the clogged or contaminated oil cooler in your 2001-2010 GM 6.6L Duramax or 2006-2010 GM 6.6L Duramax Express/Savana Van. The stock oil cooler rarely fails but it should be replaced in the event of a catastrophic engine failure. If any metal is circulated throughout the engine due to an internal failure, chanced are the particulates will end up in the oil cooler. Being a stack plate design means that the stock cooler in nearly impossible to clean. Be sure to replace the stock oil cooler in your truck or van to protect a new engine investment.
